Which Facilities Pay Reactive Penalty?

Under EPDK regulations, all subscriber/consumption facilities with a connection capacity ≥ 50 kVA are subject to reactive energy charges. Why Is Reactive Penalty More Expensive at Peak Hours?

TEDAŞ time-of-use (Day/Peak/Night) tariffs have different active energy unit prices. Since reactive penalty is calculated on the active energy charge, reactive excess during peak hours generates the most expensive penalty.puant saatlerindeki reaktif aşım en pahalı cezayı üretir.

Motor-intensive processes or HVAC systems running during peak hours (17:00–22:00) drive reactive draw to its highest level, making the impact of those hours disproportionately large in the month-end calculation.
