Usage Reports

Monthly generator running hours, fuel consumption and cost report. UPS battery replacement schedule forecasting.

When Do Alerts Trigger?

  • When UPS battery drops below 30%
  • When UPS charge time is 50% longer than normal (aging)
  • When generator fuel drops below 25%
  • When the generator starts (grid outage logged)
  • When transfer delay exceeds expected value
  • When a periodic test does not occur (calendar-based)
  • When UPS enters bypass mode (unprotected state)

Integrations

  • APC Smart-UPS (SNMP)
  • Eaton 9xxx / 5xxx serisi (SNMP + Modbus)
  • Huawei UPS2000 / UPS5000 (Modbus TCP)
  • DSE 7xxx / 8xxx Genset Controller
  • ComAp InteliGen / InteliLite
  • Socomec NETYS / ITYS

What Is the UPS and Generator Monitoring System?

Argus EMS continuously monitors critical power infrastructure via SNMP and Modbus protocols, detecting battery capacity loss, fuel depletion, and transfer delay overruns before an outage occurs.

Who Is It For?

  • Hospitals, clinics and operating theatres requiring uninterrupted power
  • Data centre and server room operators
  • Factories and facilities with high-value production lines
  • Shopping centres, hotels and large office complexes
  • Facility managers required to document periodic generator test reports

Case Study

Private Hospital (Istanbul): 4 UPS + 2 generators monitored on one screen. Battery fault detected 3 days before the outage. Logistics depot: 12% energy savings, fuel top-up surprises eliminated, ROI in 9 months.Özel Hastane (İstanbul): 4 UPS + 2 jeneratör tek ekranda izleniyor. UPS & Generator Monitoring Questions

How is the UPS battery replacement time predicted in advance?
Argus continuously records battery percentage and charge time. If the battery discharges faster for the same outage duration, or the full charge time is 50% longer than normal, this signals capacity loss (aging). The system catches this trend and suggests a battery replacement schedule, preventing the battery from dying at a critical moment.
Which protocols read generator fuel level and engine hours?
DSE 7xxx/8xxx and ComAp InteliGen/InteliLite controllers are read over Modbus TCP/RTU. Fuel level (%), engine running hours, RPM, water temperature and oil pressure registers are pulled. On generators without a controller, an external fuel sensor + Modbus transmitter can be added.
Are grid outage and transfer (ATS) events logged?
Yes. The generator's start/stop and the transfer switch (ATS/MTS) position are logged with timestamps. Each outage duration, transfer delay and the time the generator spent under load is reported. A failed transfer (generator did not start / was late) triggers an instant alarm.
Are periodic generator tests tracked?
A calendar-based periodic test expectation is defined; if the test does not occur, an alarm is raised. Engine hours, load and fuel consumption are recorded at each test, verifying the generator actually runs healthily under load. This reduces the risk of failure at a critical moment.
