What Does Argus EMS Actually Do in the Field?

Why Are There No Case-Study Figures Here?

In the energy sector, reference pages are usually full of percentages nobody can verify. A "14% savings" claim with no named facility carries no information for the reader: it cannot be verified, compared, or applied to your own site. We have chosen not to take that route.

Our customers' consumption and savings data is commercially sensitive, and our contracts do not permit publishing it. So below we publish only what is verifiable: which device we read over which protocol, which distributor portal we integrate with, and the conditions the system runs under. All of it can be tested against your own devices in a demo session.

Under What Conditions Does the System Run?

  • Measurements are taken every 15 minutes; hourly and daily summaries are produced automatically
  • The field unit writes to a local queue first — no record is deleted before the server acknowledges it
  • During an internet outage measurements accumulate, then backfill when the link returns and summaries are recalculated
  • Every project runs in its own isolated database; cross-project data leakage is prevented architecturally
  • Field ↔ server traffic is TLS-encrypted; management commands are signed
  • Remote configuration and updates are performed without a site visit
  • Every administrative action is written to an audit record
  • Screen cost is independent of accumulated data volume — it does not slow down over the years

Every facility type has its own energy dynamic; measurement points, indicators and alarm thresholds are set accordingly. Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't you publish customer references by name?
Energy consumption and facility infrastructure are commercially sensitive information for our customers; our contracts do not permit facility-specific consumption or saving figures to be published. That is why this page publishes only verifiable technical capability instead of invented case figures. If you request a reference call, we arrange it directly, with the consent of the customer concerned.
Do you promise a saving percentage?
No. The saving ratio depends on the facility's current state, its tariff, its load profile and the actions taken; promising a percentage in advance would not be honest. What Argus EMS does is make the saving measurable: consumption before and after an action is reported with the same method, the same normalisation and cleared of weather and occupancy effects. The gain emerges from your own measurement, not from our claim.
Which devices do you work with?
Energy analysers and meters that speak Modbus RTU/TCP, M-Bus water meters and calorimeters, SNMP-capable UPS units, generator control units and chiller panels. Our field team maps the registers of a new brand or model and adds it to the system as a template; the device does not need to be replaced.
Do I have to replace my existing meters?
Usually not. If your meter or analyser has a communication port (RS-485, Ethernet, M-Bus) it is read directly. Mechanical meters with no communication need a pulse output or replacement; that is determined precisely during the site survey and reported in advance.
How many facilities can you manage at once?
The platform has a multi-tenant architecture: each project runs in its own isolated database, user permissions are granted per project, and several facilities can be tracked comparatively from a single group account. Query cost is designed to be independent of the volume of accumulated data; screens do not slow down as facilities and history grow.
How long does installation take?
The duration depends entirely on the facility's existing infrastructure. If the devices already communicate and the site network is ready, commissioning is short; if cabling, an RS-485 line or a meter change is needed, it takes correspondingly longer. A realistic schedule can only be given after the site survey — we do not commit to a duration before it.
