Data Collection

A software agent installed on-site reads energy analyzers, transformers, UPS, and generators via industrial protocols at regular intervals.

Secure Transmission

Readings are transmitted encrypted to the central server. Even if internet is cut, data is buffered locally for up to 30 days and auto-synced when reconnected.

Automated Processing

Incoming data is analyzed; hourly and monthly summaries are generated, reactive penalty is calculated, alarm rules are evaluated, and billing runs automatically.

How does Argus EMS work?
The Field Agent installed on the site PC reads devices via Modbus TCP/RTU and M-Bus protocols. Data is forwarded via MQTT to the Linux server; the FastAPI backend processes and writes it to PostgreSQL. Live monitoring and reporting via the React dashboard.
How long does installation take?
A typical facility installation is completed in 4-8 hours, including Field Agent setup, device registration, and testing.
Is internet required?
No. The Field Agent writes readings to a local SQLite queue; if internet is lost, data is buffered for up to 30 days and auto-synchronized when the connection returns.
Which protocols are supported?
Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, M-Bus TCP, DSE Genset protocol. BACnet/IP is on the roadmap.
Is there a risk of data loss?
Zero. Every reading is protected by an ACK mechanism. It is never removed from the queue until confirmed written to the backend.
Can multiple facilities be monitored?
Yes, Argus EMS has a multi-tenant architecture. Each facility is monitored in a separate database; roles and permissions are managed per user.
