How to Connect to Argus EMS

1

Physical Connection

Connect the device to the RS-485 or Ethernet network. Configure Slave ID and baud rate from the device front panel or web interface.

2

Add Device in Argus

From the Argus web panel click "New Device". Select Schneider Electric PM5350 from the template list — the register map loads automatically.

3

Live Monitoring

The Field Agent tests the connection; the first reading appears on the dashboard within 60 seconds. Alarm thresholds are configured.

What Can You Monitor?

  • 3 faz gerilim, akım, güç, güç faktörü
  • Aktif / reaktif / görünür enerji (import/export)
  • THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) faz bazlı
  • Pik talep (kW, kVA) zaman damgasıyla
  • Min/maks/ortalama gerilim ve akım
  • Frekans izleme (Hz)
  • EPDK reaktif ceza eşiği uyarısı
  • Faz dengesizliği alarmı

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Modbus function codes does the PM5350 support?
The PM5350 supports reading Holding and Input registers over Modbus TCP and integrates directly with Argus EMS; connection parameters are filled in automatically by the device template.
Can the PM5350 be used for EPDK reactive penalty tracking?
Yes. Argus EMS records the PM5350's kVAr readings at 15-minute granularity and compares the cumulative inductive/capacitive ratio against EPDK thresholds (20%/15%) throughout the month. An email alert is sent when the threshold is approached.
Does the PM5350 connect via Ethernet or RS-485?
The PM5350 supports built-in Modbus TCP (Ethernet RJ-45) and Modbus RTU (RS-485). The Argus Field Agent can read both; Ethernet is preferred for lower latency and easier network management.
How frequently is PM5350 data read?
The default poll interval is 15 minutes (aligned with EPDK reporting granularity). It can be reduced to 1–5 minutes for real-time monitoring. Even if internet is lost, the Field Agent keeps data in a local buffer for 30 days.
