How to Connect to Argus EMS

Physical Connection

Connect the device to the RS-485 or Ethernet network. Configure Slave ID and baud rate from the device front panel or web interface.

Add Device in Argus

From the Argus web panel click "New Device". Select Siemens PAC3200 from the template list — the register map loads automatically.

Live Monitoring

The Field Agent tests the connection; the first reading appears on the dashboard within 60 seconds. Alarm thresholds are configured.

Does the PAC3200 work directly with Argus via Modbus TCP?
Yes. With the PAC3200-T Ethernet module it connects directly over Modbus TCP. The RS-485 version can be converted to Modbus TCP via a Modbus Gateway.
What is the difference between PAC3200 and PAC3220?
The PAC3220 is the advanced version of the PAC3200, offering additional harmonic analysis and extended recording capacity. Both are supported by Argus EMS with the same register map.
Can the Siemens PAC3200 be used for sub-tenant billing?
Yes. Each PAC3200 is registered as a separate sub-meter. Argus EMS calculates energy consumption by tariff period (day/peak/night) and generates automatic PDF invoices.
Can many PAC3200 devices be monitored simultaneously?
Yes. Argus EMS has a multi-tenant architecture; dozens of devices can be monitored simultaneously in the same building without bottlenecks.
