How to Connect to Argus EMS

Physical Connection

Connect the device to the RS-485 or Ethernet network. Configure Slave ID and baud rate from the device front panel or web interface.

Add Device in Argus

From the Argus web panel click "New Device". Select York YVAA from the template list — the register map loads automatically.

Live Monitoring

The Field Agent tests the connection; the first reading appears on the dashboard within 60 seconds. Alarm thresholds are configured.

How does the York YVAA connect to Argus EMS?
The YVAA control panel offers Modbus TCP communication; the chiller connects to the Field Agent over the existing LAN. Selecting the York YVAA template in Argus loads the parameter map automatically — a field-proven, ready template.
Can the setpoint be changed remotely?
Yes. The chilled water setpoint can be written from Argus with a signed, authorized command; only the defined safe range is accepted and every change is recorded in the audit trail.
Which alarms are monitored?
Fault codes produced by the YVAA are read instantly and fed to the alarm engine: code changes, compressor stops and abnormal pressure conditions generate email/panel notifications. Alarm history is stored with timestamps.
Is the chiller's electricity consumption also visible?
Yes. The energy analyzer in the chiller's supply panel is paired with YVAA telemetry; kW draw, daily kWh and load percentage are tracked on the same chart, so efficiency drift is noticed early.
