Frequently Asked Questions

Which scopes are calculated?

Scope 1 (natural gas burned on-site) and Scope 2 (grid electricity). The calculation is derived automatically from consumption data already in the platform; no extra data entry is needed. Scope 3 (supply chain) is out of scope.

Where do the emission factors come from?

National grid electricity and natural gas factors are kept in a versioned table; for gas, a gross calorific value based factor is used. When a factor is updated, which period was computed with which factor remains traceable.

Is measurement or the invoice taken as the basis?

If invoice data is entered, the invoice takes priority — the official document is the final record of consumption. If the invoice is not yet available, measurement is used and labeled as an estimate; once the invoice arrives it switches to actuals automatically.

Can it feed an ISO 50001 or sustainability report?

Yes. The monthly tCO₂e breakdown is reported split by electricity/gas with year-over-year comparison; it feeds directly into the ISO 50001 energy review and corporate sustainability reports.
