The PowerLogic PM5320 is designed for integration into SCADA and energy management systems over Ethernet. It monitors critical energy points with measurement up to the 63rd harmonic and advanced data logging capacity.
| Voltage / Current | Phase-neutral, line-line, neutral current |
| Harmonics | Up to the 63rd harmonic — VTHD + ITHD L1/L2/L3 |
| Reactive Energy | Q1 + Q4 kVArh — inductive + capacitive |
| Energy | kWh import/export · kVArh · kVAh |
| Min/Max | Time-stamped records |
| Accuracy | Class 0.5S (IEC 62053-22) |
| Communication | Ethernet Modbus TCP |
| Mounting | 96×96 mm panel front |
| Power Supply | 100–415 V AC |
The PM5320 connects to Argus EMS over Modbus TCP over Ethernet, and because a ready register template ships with the platform you do not have to work out a point map on site. The field agent polls the device every 60 seconds by default, writes the reading into a local queue first and then forwards it to the server over MQTT/TLS; nothing is deleted before the server acknowledges it. Hourly and daily summaries are derived from these raw readings, and the consumption and cost screens are fed from the same series.
| Protocol | Modbus TCP over Ethernet |
| Connection path | Directly over Modbus TCP (port 502) — no separate gateway is needed |
| Default polling period | 60 seconds (field agent) |
| Points in the ready template | 43 registers |
| Consumption calculation | Difference of the kWh import index over the period (MAX − MIN) |
| Data assurance | Local queue plus server acknowledgement; nothing is deleted before it is confirmed |
It is built for main distribution boards and critical loads: alongside energy and demand, the basic power quality quantities are reported too. Reactive penalty tracking and compensation assessment become reliable from this level upwards.
The device serves Modbus TCP directly over Ethernet, so no gateway is needed. In exchange, each device needs an IP address on the network and a switch port inside the panel. If more than one master polls the same device at once — a building automation system alongside Argus EMS, for example — its concurrent connection limit has to be respected.
